The Eureka Center is a family run retreat center and summer camp. The founders and owners Steve Holt and Yvette McGowan, married for 18 years, have recently moved back to Idaho full time with their two children, Savannah and Django.

Steve works as a designer and builder and has transformed the Eureka Center from raw land 14 years ago to what it is today. He is currently working on plans for the future lodge to be located next to the garden.

Yvette is a Waldorf trained teacher and splits her time between the center and teaching math and handwork at Sandpoint Waldorf School. They are also artists, Steve a musician and Yvette an expert knitter.

Both outdoor enthusiasts they enjoy running, skiing, boating, fly fishing, and are eager to share the stunning beauty of the North Idaho panhandle with adults and children who stay or visit the Eureka Center.
